Sol's Bridge team wins Collegiate Championship

Sol with the B-24 bomber Miss Fitt and her crew which was later shot down over Austria en route to bomb Germany on June 26, 1944. Only four of these men including Sol survived the mission. Sol was held as a prisoner of war until near the end of the war in Stalag Lufts I and IV in Germany. The closest train station to Stalag Luft IV was located in what is now Poland, approximately 108 miles west of what was then Danzig and which is now Gdansk, Poland.
